Wisdom teeth are the third molars and most patients usually notice them in their mid to late teens.

Wisdom teeth often require removal because there is simply not enough room in the jaw for them and due to their position they are often difficult to clean causing tooth decay and gum infections.

When the wisdom tooth erupts at an angle it serves no purpose and may require removal, many wisdom teeth.
